Apple's 1 year Factory Warranty covers hardware failure and replacement labor, not software. AppleCare Protection Plan extends to 3 full years coverage of hardware failure and replacement labor, not software. Accidental damage or abuse to the machine is not covered. Software issues are billed at regular shop rate of $80/hour.
